Classical Ballet

Classical Ballet is the foundation for all dance. Ballet assists students by developing their balance, coordination, flexibility, muscular strength and self-discipline. It also helps with posture and poise. Classical dance is a form characterized by graceful and precision movements, and by elaborate formal gestures, steps and poses.
Classical ballet exams are optional.

Jazz

Jazz is a high energy class that you will have lots of fun in, learning a variety of jazz dance styles from Broadway to a modern commercial jazz style as seen in many recent music videos. Class will begin with a thorough warm-up and progress into technique exercises, and finish with a routine. Jazz students will be challenged, learn to move with speed and work hard to become versatile, technical, strong dancers.

Tap

Tap classes are fun and challenging– it is an exciting form of dance in which dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps. Tap dancers use their feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns and beats. Tap develops a good sense of rhythm, great coordination and fast footwork. Our tap classes offer a wide range of different tapping styles, from the traditional ‘Fred Astaire’ style through to the latest contemporary style as seen in ‘Bootmen’.
Tap exams are optional.

Hip Hop

Our Hip Hop classes are exciting, energetic and full of the latest moves and music. Hip Hop is a very popular form of dance, and can be seen in many recent music videos. These classes have an emphasis on style, creativity, body isolations and control.

Contemporary

Contemporary develops creative and expressive movement and enhances body awareness. Based on pioneering contemporary dance methods such as Martha Graham and Merce Cunningham and current contemporary dance methods, these classes include skills development such as duo/group contact work, improvisation and composition.

Acrobatics

Our Acrobatics classes focus on flexibility and strength to develop acrobatics skills such as cartwheels, handstands, walk-overs and working towards advanced skills such as flips and aerials. A very popular tumbling class for all ages.

Progressing Ballet Technique

Our Ballet Extension program, focusing on core strength and pilates based methods to further develop your ballet technique, and improve overall strength. Students are required to bring some equipment to this class including a pilates ball and theraband.

Sing, Dance, Act!

Do you dream of being the ultimate triple threat performer? This is the class for you! These classes will allow you to work on your dance, singing and acting skills, whilst boosting your confidence, and broadening your performance skills.

Cheerleading

Led by a dedicated team of instructors, this class will have you on your feet in no time. Many of our dancers love taking this class, as it gives them the opportunity to learn new movements and easily showcase their talent. Interested in learning more? Pre-Pointe & Pointe

*Invite Only*

Students in our Pre-Pointe class will focus on the strength and skill level required to achieve their pointe shoes. Once being approved for pointe shoes, students will join the Pointe class and learn to work en pointe both at the barre and in the centre.
